Unraveling Near Real-Time Spatial Dynamics of Population Using Geographical Ensemble Learning
The study used geographical ensemble learning and multi-source geospatial data to produce hourly population maps for China in 2016 at 1-km resolution.
The map calibrates its residential pattern with 2021 Hong Kong Population Census data for 452 District Council Constituency Areas. Hourly redistribution remains an interpretive demonstration of the paper’s temporal logic, not a reproduction of the underlying grid values.
