01

PhD opportunities

Applications follow the HKU Graduate School’s published application periods. Prospective students should review the current schedule and contact Professor Yimeng Song well before the relevant deadline.

HKU application periods ↗

Funding pathways for full-time PhD study:

These are funding schemes rather than separate admission routes. All applicants apply to HKU; HKPFS applicants must also complete the RGC initial application.

02

Postdoctoral Fellow

Enquiries are welcome from early-career researchers with a strong publication record and a clearly aligned research agenda. Possible routes include nomination-based fellowships, positions supported by PI-led research projects and selected HKU internal funding schemes. Availability and eligibility vary; please contact Professor Yimeng Song to discuss fit and timing.

Contact Professor Yimeng Song at least two months before the published external deadline. HKU’s internal selection and nomination process closes earlier.

03

Research Assistant / Associate

Candidates with training or research experience in data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence, GIS, remote sensing, spatial statistics, environmental epidemiology or related quantitative fields are welcome to contact Professor Yimeng Song. Please indicate your availability and the research questions you would like to explore.
